RANGPUR, Oct 9, 2024 (BSS) - Posts, Telecommunications and Information
Technology Adviser Md Nahid Islam is expected to arrive in Rangpur on a
daylong visit on Saturday next.
 
Nahid, also the Adviser of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, will
first inaugurate the main gate of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) in
the campus at 10 am on Saturday, a press note issued by local office of PID
said this evening.
 
Later, he will participate in the 16th Foundation Anniversary Rally of Begum
Rokeya University at 10:30 am and subsequently, plant tree sapling at Begum
Rokeya University premises at 10:45 am.
 
The Adviser will then participate in a discussion meeting and function for
distribution of scholarships to students and cheques of research projects
awarded by the University Grants Commission at 11:30 am.
 
In addition, the Adviser will participate in a consultation and discussion
meeting with the coordinators at Rangpur Circuit House at 3 pm and a
discussion meeting with journalists at the same place at 4 pm.
 
He will leave Rangpur for Dhaka that evening, the press note added.
