DHAKA, Dec 15, 2024 (BSS) - Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public 
Administration Dr M Mokhlesur Rahman today said all the government officials 
and employees along with the pensioners will get the benefit of Dearness 
Allowance (DA).

"All the employees from peon to upward will get the benefit. As a result, the 
officers and employees will receive some more financial benefits along with 
their basic salary," he made the announcement at a press conference in the 
Secretariat Office here.

Earlier on December 12, the government had formed a seven-member committee 
headed by principal secretary to the chief adviser of the interim government 
aiming to provide dearness allowance to all officials and employees under 
National Pay Scale-2015.

The senior secretary is also one of the members of the committee.

The committee will review the applicability and availability of the allowance 
and submit necessary recommendations on the matter, according to the 
committee resolution. 

The committee can co-opt one or more officials if necessary.
