DHAKA, April 14, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh and Turkiye have expected that a collaborative endeavor would enhance the partnership between the two nations to new heights, demonstrating a shared dedication to cultivating stronger relationships.
This was observed when Foreign Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain along with Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuj Alam met the Turkiye Foreign Affairs Minister Hakan Fidan, at the latter's office in Ankara today, said an official press release here.
The primary objective of the meeting was to strengthen the bilateral relationship between Türkiye and Bangladesh by resolving outstanding issues and initiating new initiatives.
The relationship between Türkiye and Bangladesh is expected to yield substantial benefits as a consequence of this cordial discussion, said the foreign ministry.
“Bangladesh will be granted access to a comprehensive range of Türkiye's bilateral cooperation sectors, which are typically designated for Türkiye’s closest allied nations,” said the release.
It said this development represents an optimistic chapter in the diplomatic engagement between the two countries, opening the door to heightened collaboration, mutual support, and shared growth across various domains.
Both the Advisers attended the three-day Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) 2025' in Antalya, Turkey from April 11 to 13.
The ADF was hosted by the Turkish Foreign Ministry with the theme, "Reclaiming Diplomacy in a Fragmented World", under the patronage of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
This year's theme reflects the pressing need for diplomacy to reassert itself as a stabilizing force, amid rising global divisions.
