DHAKA, Jan 11, 2022 (BSS) - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today
expressed deepest condolence at the sad demise of European Parliament
President David Sassoli.

 In a signed letter addressed to Charles Michel, President, European
Council, Brussels, she recalled that Sassuolo was a compassionate
journalist and an extraordinary EU Parliament President.

 The premier reiterated that Sassoli's legacy will continue to inspire
Parliamentary Democracy across the globe to forge ahead and strengthen
cooperation amongst the nations.

 She expressed her deepest sympathy to the bereaved family and
extended her prayers for salvation of his departed soul.
