DHAKA, Feb 2, 2022 (BSS) - The government is likely to extende the closure of educational institutions across the country for more two weeks due to the
recent spike in the spread of the COVID-19 infection.

   Mentioning that the COVID-19 infection rate is nearly 30 percent across
the country now, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni today said that the
government is considering to take this decision in consultation with the experts of the National Technical Advisory Committee on Coronavirus.

  The classroom teaching programme in the educational institutions was
declared closed till February 6, she said, adding that the closure would be
extended for another 14 days.

   She urged all to maintain proper health rules to prevent COVID-19
infection and hoped that the students would quickly get the chance to attend
the classrooms.
