DHAKA, Feb 5, 2022 (BSS) - Awami League General Secretary Obaidul

Quader today said that the political ill-tactics of BNP leaders
regarding the treatment of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia have
failed.

  Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, said this in a
statement sent to the media today.

  Protesting the statement of BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul
Islam Alamgir published in the media, he added that the political ill
strategy of the BNP leaders regarding Khaleda Zia's treatment and the
evil attempt to hold the people hostage on this issue have failed.

  At the same time, their (BNP leaders) conspiracy to harm Bangladesh
by hiring lobbyists abroad to tarnish the image of the country has
also failed, the minister continued.

  "...we urge the BNP leaders to avoid the path of conspiracy against
the country," he said.
