GAZIPUR, Oct 15, 2022 (BSS) - Four people were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Telipara area of Gazipur metropolis today.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The accident occurred when a Mymensingh-bound passenger bus of Basumti Paribahan hit a passenger carrying van in Telipara area around 8.30am, leaving four persons dead on the spot, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bashan Police Station Malek Khasru Khan told BSS.

Police recovered the bodies from the spot and sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital morgue in Gazipur for autopsy.

Police seized the bus from the spot, but its driver and helper managed to flee away.
