DHAKA, Nov 2, 2022 (BSS) - A Dhaka court today placed Kazi Ertaza Hassan, editor and publisher of the Daily Vorer Pata and The Daily People's Time, on one-day remand in a fraud case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mosharraf Hossain passed the order as investigation officer (IO) and Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) sub-inspector Md Mehedi Hasan produced the accused before the court and pleaded to place him on two-day remand in the case.

According to the case documents, the accused in collusion with corrupted employees of different sub-registrar's offices, used to registrar lands with fake documents.

A team of PBI arrested Ertaza from Gulshan area of the capital last night.
