DHAKA, Dec 15, 2022 (BSS) - Daisy Sarwar has been elected president and Sharmin Sultana Lily as general secretary of Jubo Mohila League, an associate body of Awami League.

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader announced the names of the president and the general secretary of Jubo Mohila League from the third triennial council of the organization held at Suhrawardy Udyan in the city on today.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the third triennial council of Jubo Mohila League as the chief guest around 12:00pm by hoisting national and party flags and releasing balloons.

The council was chaired by the President of the organization Najma Akhtar and moderated by the General Secretary Apu Ukil.

Jubo Mohila League was founded in 2002, with a convening committee headed by Nazma Akhter and Apu Ukil. The last council of Jubo Mohila League was held in 2017.

In the first council of the organization was held in 2004, Najma Akhtar was made president and Apu Ukil as general secretary.

Nazma and Apu were re-elected as president and general secretary at the organization's second national triennial council on March 11, 2017.
