CHANDPUR, Dec 23, 2022 (BSS) - Awami League Joint-General Secretary and
Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni today said Awami League has the highest
women's participation and they are doing great in party's leadership also.
"We have both men and women in the party's leadership, also young and
seniors. The way Awami League led the country in past to fulfill the dreams
of country's people, it will continue to do so in the future," she said.
The minister said this while talking to newsmen after attending 100th
anniversary function of Matripith Government Girls High School at Chandpur
Government College Field this afternoon.
"Awami League's national council is an important event for the country. This
is the party, which gave us the right of our language, led us in our War of
Liberation, and led us in all the movements for democracy. The present
development of the country was also possible due to Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina and Awami League," Dr Dipu Moni added.
The education minister reiterated her commitment of distributing new
textbooks among children from January 1, adding, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina
will inaugurate the textbook distribution ceremony on December 31.
