DHAKA, Dec 28, 2022 (BSS) - The High Court today issued separate rules over returning money paid by customers for different goods from two e-commerce companies Dalal Plus and e orange.

A High Court division bench comprising Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Biswajit Debnath passed the orders, asking authorities concerned as to why its shall not pass orders to return Taka 9.57 crore of 42 customers of Dalal Plus and Taka 3.43 crore of 42 customers of e orange.

The court came up with the orders after holding hearing on separate pleas filed in this regard. Advocate ASM Sayem Ali Pathan moved the pleas before the court, while Deputy Attorney General Tushar Kanti Roy stood for the state.

Commerce secretary, home secretary, law secretary, Bangladesh Bank Governor, inspector general of Police, SLL Commerce managing director, e orange patron Sheikh Sohel Rana, owners Sonia Mahjabin and Bithi Akter, chief executive officer Md Aman Ullah Chowdhury were made respondents in the rules.
