DHAKA Dec 28, 2022 (BSS) - The Posts and Telecommunications Division under the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology has published a commemorative book titled "Bangabandhu on his birth Centenary".

Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Mustafa Jabbar today unveiled the cover of the 480-page book, edited by the minister himself at a function in the ministry's conference room this noon.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister told journalists that under the patronage of Md Khalilur Rahman, Secretary, Posts & Telecommunications Division, the book explains in detail the involvement of the Posts and Telecommunications Division with many important historical events of national life, including the turmoil of pre and post 1971 Liberation War.

Speaking as the chief guest, the minister said that the book provides important information about the transfer of Bangabandhu's historical proclamation of independence from Moghbazar TnT office to Salimpur.

Haridas Thakur, Deputy Secretary of Communications Department revised the manuscript of the book while Joint Secretary Sebastin Rema performed the duty of publication coordinator.

Later, the minister unveiled five other Postal Acts, Telecom Acts, SDGs and the Annual Report of the Posts and Telecommunications Division published by the Department of Posts and Telecommunications in 2022.
