DHAKA, Jan 23, 2023 (BSS) - Master Md Shajahan BA, president of Sandwip upazila unit Awami League (AL) of Chattogram district and Sandwip Upazila Parishad chairman, died of old-age complications at a hospital in the capital today.
 
He was 79, family sources said.

Shajahan left behind four sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

The first Namaz-e-Janaza of the deceased was held in city's Kakrail.

 Later, the second Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at 9pm tonight at BGB ground of Halisahar in Chattogram.
 
He will be buried at his family graveyard following third Namaz-e-Janaza on Sandwip Upazila Complex ground at 11am tomorrow. 

 In a condolence massage, Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has expressed profound shock at the death of Shajahan.
 
The AL general secretary prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
