DHAKA, Jan 23, 2023 (BSS) - A three-day annual conference of deputy commissioners (DCs) will begin in the city tomorrow.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the three-day conference at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) at 10am.

After the inaugural function, the DCs will take part in an open-discussion with the Prime Minister.
 
Then sessions based on ministries and divisions will take place at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital. A total of 245 proposals placed by the DCs will be discussed in 26 working sessions.

Ministers and secretaries of different ministries and divisions will join the discussion and give necessary directives to the DCs.

The proposals related to improving law and order situation, health, land, management and education would get priority in the three-day conference, which is scheduled to end on January 26, he added.

On the second day on January 25, the DCs will call on Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Choudhury and Chief Justice of Bangladesh Hasan Foez Siddique.

President M Abdul Hamid will address the DCs when they will pay a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban on the third day on January 26.
