DHAKA, Feb 2, 2023 (BSS) - Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) today expressed deep concern over harassment of head of news of Somoy Television Mujtaba Danish by police in connection with a case filed under Digital Security Act (DSA) for broadcasting news about irregularities.

BFUJ President Omar Faruque and Secretary General Dip Azad condemned harassment of journalist Danish and sought intervention of the higher authorities to stop such harassment immediately, said a press release.

"As law minister promised, journalists should not be harassed in the DSA case. But we have observed that this promise is not being maintained properly," they added.
