"This is up to their (BNP) matter whether they will take part in or boycott the election. But they should take part in the election for their political existence," he told the opening programme of police in the district.

Kamal said, "As a politician I can say that without election there is no way to come to power".

Manikganj police launched a service named 'Hello Police Room' programme for providing services to common people. The district police also opened Bangabandhu Gallery.

Local lawmakers Naimur Rahman Durjoy and Momtaj Begum, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Dhaka Range, Syed Nurul Islam, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Abdul Latif, Superintendent of Police (SP) Golam Azad Khan and District Awami League President Advocate Golam Mohiuddin and General Secretary Advocate Abdus Salam, among others, were present on the occasion.

Later, the minister joined a meeting hosted by Freedom Fighters at the playground.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman brought justice to killers of Bangabandhu and most of his family members.

Kamal said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina increased allowances of the Heroic Freedom Fighters. "Her government has been building houses for them and giving guard of honour during funeral of the freedom fighters," he added.

He mentioned that it is a big achievement for the Freedom Fighters, as the 'Joy Bangla' slogan got the state recognition. It was the lone slogan of the Freedom Fighters during the war of liberation, he added.
