DHAKA, Feb 16, 2023 (BSS) – 'Lekhok Bolchi', a stage (mancha) of Amar Ekushey Book Fair was relocated today as several writers and readers said that it was not set up in a suitable place in the fair. 

Today, on the 16th day of the fair, the 'Lekhok Bolchi' mancha was relocated between the fair's Tottho Kendro and the pavilion of Bangla Academy from its previous place near food court corner on Suhrawardy Udyan's fair premises, said Ekushey Book Fair Member Secretary and Bangla Academy Director (Administration) Dr K M Muzahidul Islam. 

Talking to BSS, he said the work of shifting the stage has been going on since this morning so that the afternoon-session can be held on the new stage. 

Lauding the decision to change the place of the stage, poet and writer Ankhi Siddiqa said the mancha became isolated as it was set up in the middle of the food shops. 

She hoped that the new location of the mancha will strengthen the bond between writers and readers in the coming days.
