DHAKA, Feb 17, 2023 (BSS) - Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder today urged
all to resist communal forces and play role in building a non-communal
country.

"We had communal forces in the country during our War of Liberation and they
still exist. We've to resist these communal forces. Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina is working relentlessly to build a non-communal country," he said.

The minister said this while inaugurating 'Mohanagar Paribar Dibosh-2023'
organised by Mohanagar Puja Udjapon Parishad at Dhakeshwari Temple in the
capital, an official release said here.

"We have to find our roots, we have to expand our culture by organising
social cultural functions. Cultural expansion will free us from fanaticism,"
he added.

With Mohanagar Puja Udjapon Parishad President Manindra Kumar in the chair,
the function was attended,among others, by lawmaker Haji Md Selim, National
Press Club General Secretary Shyamol Dutta, Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad
President JL Bhoumik and Professor Chandranath Poddar.
