DHAKA, Feb 19, 2023 (BSS) - The National flag will be hoisted half-mast in all establishments and buildings across the country to observe the 'Shaheed Dibash' (Martyrs Day) and the International Mother Language Day on February 21 with due respect.
The national flag will be kept half-mast in a proper manner and having accurate size at all the buildings across the country, a press release said.
In the time of flying the flag at half mast, the flag should first be raised to the top of the pole and then lowered.
Before lowering the flag from the half-mast position, it should first be raised all the way to the top, the release added.
According to the Bangladesh Flag Rule, 1972, the 'National Flag' will be bottle green and rectangular in size in the proportion of length to width 10:6 bearing a red circle on the body of the green.
The red circle will have a radius of one-fifth of the length of the flag, it added.
Depending on the size of the buildings, the flag sizes will be at the ratio of 10:6, 5:3 and 2.5:1.5.
