Doa and munajat to be held marking national mourning day

DHAKA, Aug 13, 2021 (BSS) – Special doa and munajat will be held at all mosques across the country after Johr prayer on August 15 marking the 46th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day.

Apart from this, special prayer will be performed in worships of other religions in the country, an official release said today.    

“This special doa-munajat and prayers will be held seeking eternal peace of departed souls of all martyrs, who had been brutally assassinated during the black night of August 15 in 1975,” said the release.

 At the same time, doa and munajat will be held seeking welfare of the nation as well as the country. The press release also added that doa and munajat will be held seeking quick recovery from COVID-19 pandemic.

The ministry has requested khatibs, imam, muslim devotees of all the mosques and the people of different faiths to take necessary arrangements by enforcing mandatory health guidelines and maintaining social distances due to the coronavirus.
