DHAKA, Feb 27, 2023 (BSS) - A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today fined three restaurants Taka 3,00,000 for producing substandard food items and serving those in unhygienic condition in the capital. 

Senior Assistant Police Super Director of (Media) Noman Ahmed said a team of mobile court conducted the drive at Ghorowa Hotel and Restaurant, Cafe Bismillah Restaurant and Nawabi Bhoj Restaurant in the city. 

He said under the Consumer Rights Protection Act and the Safe Food Act, the owner and manager of the Ghorowa Hotel and Restaurant Md Julhas Hossain (32), was fined Taka 80,000, owner and manager of Cafe Bismillah Restaurant Sheikh Shafiur Rahman was fined Taka 1 lakh and Nawabi Bhoj Restaurant owner and manager Md Suman was fined Taka 1,20,000.
