MYMENSINGH, March 5, 2023 (BSS) - District administration has chalked out elaborate programmes to celebrate the historic March 7 in a proper manner.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Polak Kanty Chakraborty said the programmes include hoisting of national flags atop of all government, non-government offices and educational institutions in the morning, placing wreaths at the mural of Bangabandhu near circuit house at 7am, competition on Bangabandhu's March 7 speech and competition on painting, poetry recitation, essay writing and quiz, prize distribution as well as playing the historic March 7 speech of the Father of the Nation.

A discussion on life and activities of Bangabandhu will also be held at Shilpokala Academy at 5 pm.

The city streets and different important corners, entry points and zero points of the city will be decorated with colorful banners and festoons.

Documentary on the life of Bangabandhu and the great liberation war will be screened as well.

District and City Awami League have also taken separate programmes marking the day.
