DHAKA, March 6, 2023 (BSS) – A Biman Bangladesh Airlines plane made an emergency landing today at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) here with 72 passengers and five crew members on board.
The flight decided to make an emergency landing when one of its tires burst in the sky. The national flag carrier was bound to Dhaka from Kolkata.
Confirming the incident, Group Captain and executive director of HSIA Kamrul Islam said, “The plane landed safely around 10 am with 72 passengers along with crews. All the passengers are safe.”
He said the flight BG-392 took off for Dhaka from Kolkata airport around 8:49am and later, pilot decided to make an emergency landing after arriving in Dhaka’s sky around 9.45 am.
Soon after getting the information of emergency landing, the airport authorities took necessary preparations in this regard. Finally the aircraft landed safely at 10.03 am.
