DHAKA, Aug 15, 2021 (BSS) - Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM
Rezaul Karim today called for forming a high-powered
inquiry-commission to unearth the masks of the masterminds behind the
scene of August 15 carnage.
"It is necessary to form a high-powered commission of inquiry. Those
who had failed in political leadership, those who were involved in the
conspiracy and those who did not take action despite knowing about the
conspiracy, their masks must be exposed," he said.
He was speaking virtually at a discussion organized by Pirojpur
district administration as the chief guest from his official residence
here on the occasion of the 46th martyrdom anniversary of Father of
the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning
Day.
The minister further said Bangabandhu made Bangladesh independent
through revolution but the countrymen could not stop his ruthless
killing at the hands of counter-revolutionaries.
He urged all to work together imbued with the spirit of the 71' as
the defeated forces of war of liberation are still existing in the
country.
With Pirojpur Deputy Commissioner Abu Ali Md Sajjad Hossain in the
chair, the discussion was attended, among others, by Pirojpur
Superintendent of Police Mohammad Saidur Rahman and Pirojpur District
Awami League General Secretary MA Hakim Hawlader as the special
guests.
