DHAKA, Aug 19, 2021 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of noted journalist Zahiduzzaman Faruk, editor of the daily Arthanithi and a member of the management committee of the National Press Club.

 In a condolence message, the head of the state prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Fighting against cancer, Faruk breathed his last around 2.30 pm today in capital’s Eskaton residence at the age of 72.
