DHAKA, May 11, 2023 (BSS) - Visiting Mauritius President Prithvirajsing Roopun and his wife Sayukta Roopun will visit Dhakeshwari National Temple around 7.30am tomorrow.

He will offer prayers at the temple during his one hour visit.

"We are ready to welcome Mauritius President Prithvirajsing Roopun with blowing of conch shell. He will stay on the temple premises for an hour. 

During the visit, he will offer prayers at the temple and receive prashad after puja," Manindra Kumar Nath, president of Mahanagar Sarbajanin Puja Committee told BSS today.

He said the temple authorities will gift a crest designed with replica of 'Dhakeshwari Ma' to the Mauritius President on the occasion.

Prithvirajsing Roopun arrived in Dhaka today on a four-day official visit to join the 'Sixth Indian Ocean Conference 2023' hosted by Bangladesh as well as bilateral programmes.
