DHAKA, Aug 20, 2021 (BSS) - State Minister for Power, Energy and

Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has said engineers are making
outstanding contributions to the development and progress of
Bangladesh and they have scopes to play further in innovative works.

  He was addressing a food distribution ceremony arranged by
Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) and North-West Power
Generation Company Limited (NWPGCL) at IEB Council Hall here on
Thursday.

  Nasrul Hamid urged the professionals of power sector to come forward
in extending humanitarian hand to distressed people during crisis.

   He said the country will have to take steps in a well-planned way
to get the benefit of fourth industrial revolution.

  IEB President Engineer Md Nurul Huda chaired the programme while
NWPGCL Chief Executive Officer Engineer AM Khorshedul Alam, Power Cell
Director General Engineer Mohammad Hossain and Bangladesh Awami League
Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Md Abdus Sabur joined it
virtually.
