DHAKA, May 14, 2023 (BSS) - Deputy Leader of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Begum Matia Chowdhury today said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working courageously to build smart Bangladesh.
"The Awami League government has started working on the fourth industrial revolution after coming to power and Sheikh Hasina has been working courageously to turn Bangladesh into an industrially developed country" she said.
The veteran AL leader, also a presidium member said this at the opening ceremony of a National Seminar of the 60th Convention of the Engineers Institution at Ramna here today.
The theme of the seminar is 'Fourth Industrial Revolution Preparedness in the Society and the Industry.'
About the criticism of foreigners, Matia Chowdhury said now foreigners are coming here to see the success of Bangladesh and seeking advice from this country.
IEB President Md Nurul Huda said Awami League government is a visionary government and after coming to power in 2009, the government created a vision about how Bangladesh will be transformed in the next 100 years with "Din Bodoler slogan".
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam presented a keynote paper and said that all the countries of the world are now turning towards job-oriented education such as mobile engineering, LED engineering, cyber security, data science and robotics engineering.
"Students should be trained in such subjects so that the people of the country can lead the future world. I believe our young generation will lead the world by 2041 through advanced technology." he said.
IEB Assistant General Secretary Sheikh Tajul Islam Tuhin, newly elected President of IEB Abdus Sabur, newly elected General Secretary SM Manjurul Haque Manju, Vice President Mohammad Hossain, Khandaker Manjur Morshed and Nuruzzaman and Assistant General Secretary Abul Kalam Hazari were present in the seminar.
