PABNA, May 15, 2023 (BSS) - President Mohammed Shahabuddin offered doa at the graves of his parents and other family members at 'Pabna Sadar Graveyard' in Arifpur here this afternoon. 

In the munajat, a special doa was offered there, seeking for the eternal peace of the departed souls of his parents - father Sharifuddin Ansari and mother Khairunnessa.

Special prayers were also offered to all of his relatives and residents of the area for the eternal peace of the departed soul. 

The Head of the State offered ziarat with his family members and all those concerned. 
 
President Shahabuddin and his family members paid tributes by throwing flowers' petals on the graves there.

Parliament's Deputy Speaker valiant Freedom Fighter Md Shamsul Hoque Tuku, Pabna Zilla Parishad Chairman valiant Freedom Fighter Abdur Rahim Pakon, local MPs - Golam Farooq Prince, Ahmed Firoz Kabir and Nadira Yasmin Jolly, Pabna District Awami League President Md. Rezaul Rahim Lal, President's son Mohammed Arshad Adnan Rony, President's two brothers - Sahid Iqbal Sayeed and Mohammed Shakir Hossain, local leaders of different political parties, secretaries concerned to the Bangabhaban and senior military and civilian officials were present there. 

From there, President Shahabuddin paid tributes to the late parents of valiant Freedom Fighter Anjan Chowdhury Pintu, one of the main stakeholders of Square Group and Convener of the Citizen Reception Committee, at Baganbari in Pabna Square. 

Anjan Chowdhury's father was late Samson H Chowdhury, a prominent industrialist of Bangladesh. 

The President along with his wife Dr. Rebecca Sultana paid respects by throwing flower petals on the tombs.
