Progs taken to celebrate 50th anniversary of getting Bangabandhu’s ‘Julio Kury’ award

KHULNA, May 18, 2023 (BSS)- Khulna district administration today has taken elaborate programmes to celebrate 50th anniversary of getting Bangabandhu’s ‘Julio Kury award.

The decision was taken at a preparatory meeting at the office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Khulna with Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Pulak Kumar Mondal in the chair.

The programmes are discussion, cultural function and prize distribution among the winners who will attend in different competitions marking Bangabandhu’s Home Coming Day that will be held at local Shilpokola Academy.

Besides, free medical camp will be held while prayers will be offered at different mosques, temples and churches at any suitable time marking the day.

Children will attend different competitions including art and quiz at Zila Shishu Academy while discussion will also be held at educational institutions marking the day.

On May 23 in 1973, World Peace Forum (Biswa Shanti Parishad) awarded ‘Julio Kury Award’ to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for his glorious contribution to establish a non-communal peaceful independent country and a terrorism free peaceful society.
