RAJSHAHI, May 22, 2023 (BSS)- Bangladesh Betar, Rajshahi has been working to supplement the government efforts of building Smart Bangladesh by 2041 as per planning of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The regional station has been broadcasting programmes related to the existing services of government offices through its own software. It has also been working on smart agriculture together with capacity building of the farmers both males and females.

Hassan Akhter, Regional Director of Rajshahi Betar, made the observation while presenting his keynote paper in a seminar titled "Role of Bangladesh Betar in Building Smart Bangladesh" at Nanking Darbar Hall in the city here today.

Additional Commissioner of Rajshahi division Dr Moksed Ali and Prof Mozammel Hossain from the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Rajshahi University were the panel discussants of the seminar.

Hassan Akhter said they are receiving suggestions from listeners, advertisers and well-wishers through email, SMS and social media to ensure transparency and accountability.

"We are also collecting applications from the interested artists through online," he added.

Besides, they are broadcasting programmes related to the Prime Minister's 10 special initiatives which are very much important for smart economy.

In his remarks, Dr Moksed Ali said the government under the prudent and farsighted leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly for building 'Smart Bangladesh' for transforming the country into a developed one by 2041.
 
Digital Bangladesh has already been built and time has come to build Smart Bangladesh with the dynamic and competent leadership of the Premier.
