DHAKA, Aug 22, 2021 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) Presidium Member Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak today said the countrymen have rejected BNP because of their (leaders of BNP) misdeeds.

He made the remarks at a discussion held at the Awami League's central office on Bangabandhu Avenue in memory of those killed in the August 21 grenade attack.

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the students' wing of ruling Awami League, organized the discussion.

With Chattra League President Al Nahian Khan Joy in the chair, the discussion was conducted by its General Secretary Lekhak Bhattacharya.

Awami League Organizing Secretary BM Mozammel Haque, State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Md Murad Hassan and former student leader Major (Retd) Samsuddin Ahmed Chowdhury also spoke, among others.

Criticizing the statement of BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Nanak said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resides in Ganobhaban and BNP made chaos near Chandrima Udyan which is very close to her location.

It is not a good thing at all, he added.
