DHAKA, June 18, 2023 (BSS) - Vitamin A-Plus capsules have been administered to the children at Navy hospitals and children's health centres as part of the nationwide Vitamin 'A' Plus Campaign.
 
President of Bangladesh Navy Family Welfare Association (BNFWA) Begum Monira Raushan Iqbal officially inaugurated the program at the Child Welfare and Medical Centre at Mirpur here today, said an ISPR press release here.
 
Under the programme, children aged between 6 and 11 months were given one blue-colored vitamin A- plus capsule while children aged between 12 and 59 months were given red-coloured vitamin A- plus capsules.
 
The vitamin A plus capsule campaign was held throughout the day in all the hospitals and child welfare centres of Chittagong and Khulna Naval regions.
 
With the aim of strengthening the immune system of the children and reducing the risk of infant mortality, vitamin A-plus capsules are being provided to children aged below 5 across the country.
