RAJSHAHI, June 25, 2023 (BSS) - Birth centenary of Shaheed AHM Kamaruzzaman, one of the four national leaders, will be observed here in a befitting manner tomorrow (Monday).

City unit of Bangladesh Awami League has chalked out a daylong elaborate programme to observe the day.

The day's programmes will begin through hoisting national and party flags at the city unit party office with sunrises.

Quran Khawni, milad mahfil and special prayers will be arranged at the residence of AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, elder son of Shaheed Kamaruzzaman, at 9am.

Party leaders and workers will place wreaths on the grave of Shaheed Kamaruzzaman at Kadirganj graveyards to pay tribute to the late leader at 11am. Feeding of destitute will be held at Shaheed Kamaruzzaman crossing at 12noon in addition to offering special prayers after Johr prayers.

A discussion meeting has been arranged at Rajshahi Medical College auditorium to highlight life and works of the national leader.

In the evening, a cultural meeting will be held at Lalon Shah open stage.
Rajshahi City Corporation has also adopted a daylong programme to observe the day in a befitting manner.
