BOGURA, July 15, 2023 (BSS) - Four people, including truck drivers and helper, were killed in a road accident near Muril Bazar area of Nashatpur union under Adamdighi upazila of the district early hours of today.

The deceased were identified as truck driver Dadon Miah, 40, son of Gofar of Kamrangichar in Dhaka, its helper Saiful Islam, 23, son of Jamal Uddin, resident of the same area and another mini truck driver Rafiqul Islam,57, son of Amjad Hossain, resident of Masterpadar area under Sapahar upazila of Naogaon district and Mostak Ali, 45, son of Omar Ali, resident of Dayal Mor area of Naogaon district.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Adamdighi police station Rezaul Karim said a mini truck hit a broke down goods-laden truck stationed on the road from behind in the area around 3.30am, leaving four people of both trucks dead on the spot.

Police recovered the bodies from the spot and sent to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue.

The law enforcers also seized the two trucks, the OC added.
