CHATTOGRAM, July 24, 2023 (BSS) - State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mahbub Ali said Parki Beach will become the second Cox's Bazar after the implementation of various projects.
"A number of projects are going on. Bangabandhu Tunnel, built beneath Karnaphuli River has added a new dimension to the history of Bangladesh's communication sector. Through this tunnel there will be a great change in the communication system with Parki beach," he said.
He said these after inspecting a project, introduced to enhance tourism facilities at Parki beach located in Anwara upazila, here this evening.
The tourism sector of the country is getting world class and overseas tourists would be impressed witnessing the tremendous development of the tourism sector, he added.
Mentioning that Bangabandhu's thoughts about Chattogram have been implemented by his successor Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Mahbub Ali said, "As the Prime Minister is decorating Chattogram in a new way, so all necessary measures will be taken to protect the beach," he added.
"Tourist police will be deployed to ensure security for tourists, apart from building modern hotels and motels at the beach," he added.
Chairman of Tourism Corporation Rahat Anwar, Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Mokammel Hossain, its Joint Secretary Mohammad Mahmud Kabir, Deputy Secretary Dr Saifur Rahman, Chattogram Range Superintendent of Police Apple Mahmud, Anwara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Ishtiaq Imon, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Abdullah Al Mumin, among others, accompanied him during the inspection.
