DHAKA, July 27, 2023 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) last night arrested three fugitive accused in Habiganj's Salim murder case from city's Sutrapur area in the capital.

The arrested were identified as Md Roki Mia, 32, Md Roni Mia, 28 and Tofazzal Nobi Topi, 25, all of them are sons of late Alauddin from Sharifnagar village (Notunbari) area in Ajmirigang police station of Habiganj district, Senior ASP and Assistant Director (Media) of RAB- 10 M. Faqrul Hasan told BSS today.

Fakrul Hasan said, being informed, a team of RAB-10 conducted a drive in the Johnson Road area of Sutrapur police station in the capital with the help of Information Technology and the assistance of RAB-9 on wednesday around 8.30pm.

During the drive, RAB arrested three absconding accused of Salim murder case in the criminal code act of Ajmiriganj police station of Habiganj district, he added.

According to RAB, during preliminary interrogation, the arrested accused has admitted their involvement in the murder. After the murder, they were hiding in various areas including Sutrapur of the capital.

The arrested accused has been handed over to the concerned police station.
