Killers of Bangabandhu want to come to power indirectly: Murad

JAMALPUR, Aug 28, 2021 (BSS) - State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Md Murad Hassan today said that the assassins of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman still want to come to the power indirect way to destroy the history of Bangladesh.

"Those, who did not recognize Bangladesh as an independent sovereign state, still want to come to the power in order to turn the country into a failed state and erase the actual history of Bangladesh," he said.

The state minister made the remarks while introducing the newly formed governing body of Bhatara High School under Sarishabari upazila in Jamalpur and distributing school uniforms among meritorious and poor students there.

Noting that this Bangladesh is not a gift from anyone, he said, "My father, my predecessors bought this Bangladesh in exchange for blood. Therefore, we have many responsibilities. Ziaur Rahman is the main planner and executor of Bangabandhu killing."

He said it is the sacred duty of the nation to unmask the killer Zia to the future generations, who will build Bangabandhu's Sonar Bangla under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Many posthumous trials have been completed in many countries of the world, he said, adding that the murderers of Bangabandhu have been tried on the soil of Bengal under the leadership of the premier Sheikh Hasina.

He hoped that the posthumous trial of the main killer Ziaur Rahman would be executed in the soil of Bengal in the days to come.

With the president of the governing body of Bhatara High School Abu Bakkar Siddique in the chair, the programme was attended, among others, by Sarishabari Upazila Parishad Chairman Gias Uddin Pathan, Upazila Awami League president Sanowar Hossain Badsha, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shihab Uddin Ahmed, Municipal Mayor Monir Uddin, Bhatara Union Awami League General Secretary and UP Chairman Borhan Uddin Badal and Central Jubo League member Sheikh Russel.
