DHAKA, Aug 30, 2023 (BSS) - US Ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Haas today paid a courtesy call on Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Khandkar Golam Faruq at the latter's office.

During the meeting, they discussed the recent anti-militant operations, arrests and law and order situation in the capital city, according to the DMP news portal.

They expressed hope that the friendship and mutual cooperation between the two countries will increase in the future.

Accompanied by embassy officials, Peter Haas reached the DMP headquarters located at Minto Road at around 11:00 am.

Additional commissioner of the DMP - Dr Khandaker Mohid Uddin, chief of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Md Asaduzzaman, Detective Branch (DB) chief Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid, among other officials, were present during the meeting.
