The upcoming general election will be held in time in line with the constitution of the country, they told a discussion held at Johur Hossain Chowdhury auditorium of the National Press Club, marking the National Mourning Day.
They said the 14-party alliance will resist any conspiracy unitedly as the coalition will not let Bangladesh to be a country like Afghanistan and Syria.
Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly for the progress of the country and it's people.... The world leaders are praising Bangladesh for its tremendous development that has happened since 2009.
The patrons of terrorism and militancy will destroy the country's achievement if they come to state power, they cautioned.
The leaders also urged all to be united against any kind of conspiracy being hatched by evil forces to oust the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The alliance will resist those, who are orchestrating plots over the prices of essential commodities, they added.
President of Ganatantri Party and freedom fighter Dr Shahadat Hossain presided over the meeting while and its Joint General Secretary Minhaj Salim moderated it. General Secretary of the party Kamrul Ahsan Khan Parvej delivered the welcome speech.
Leaders of the alliance - Dr Ashit Baron Roy, Mohammad Ali Faruque, Rezaur Rashid Khan, Nasir Uddin Khan, Sultan Ahmed Biswas, Abul Khair Siddique, President of Amra Muktijoddar Santan Sazzad Hossain, Dhaka Union of Journalist (DUJ) vice-president Manik Lal Ghosh and Presidium Member of Ganatantri Party Anisur Rahman, among others, spoke at the meeting.
