DHAKA, Sept 7, 2023 (BSS) - HOOD, a non-profitable, humanitarian organisation for old and distressed people, has distributed some medical materials, mobility chairs and furniture having special facilities among special children at Uttara in the city.
Hood's vision is to work independently and impartially for humanity and improvement of the underprivileged as well as common people in the globe.
The HOOD also hosted breakfast for them on Wednesday morning, according to a press release of the organization said here today.
It said the HOOD distributed the equipments through Families for Children, an organization. It also has been working for 86 special children with 20 service providers.
On the request of the organization, the Hood collected and provided a deep freezer, some medical supplies, mobility chairs, some special facilities furniture, necessary for raising autistic children, special customized materials for mobility training of children with disabilities.
President of HOOD Professor Dr Md Nazrul Hossain Titu, General Secretary Engineer Md Hasan Ahmed Khan Sajal, assistant secretary Engineer Gholam Mohammed Noble, Deputy Secretary of commerce ministry Md Sayed Ali, executive Engineer of RAJUK Monirul Haque, Mamun and Shujan joined the distribution ceremony.
HOOD, a group of ex-students of the Notre Dame College, has been working for wellbeing of physically challenged persons.
