DHAKA, Sept 9, 2023 (BSS) - Joint General Secretary of Awami League Mahbubul-Ul-Alam Hanif today said BNP-Jammat is conspiring against government as they have taken their stance in favour of Dr Yunus.

"The people of the country know those people who are plotting against the government over Dr Yunus issue," he told a human chain organized Jatiya Sramik League in front of Jatiya Press Club here.

Hanif said the anti-liberation forces want to bring down Sheikh Hasina's government and halt the progress of this country's development.

"But I want to say clearly that Sheikh Hasina government is the government of the people of this country. Still 70 percent people of the country is in favor of Sheikh Hasina," he added.

 No one can oust the government, as long as people of the country have confidence, support and trust on Sheikh Hasina, Hanif said.

No one will be able to stop trial against Dr Yunus, he said adding "Whoever committed the crime must be punished. Law will run at its own pace."
