DHAKA, Sept 14, 2023 (BSS) -The meeting of the Central Executive Committee of Bangabandhu Parishad was held at conference lounge of Wapda Bhaban in the city's Motijheel area.

With Bangabandhu Parishad acting President and Dhaka University (DU) former Vice-Chancellor and Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique in the chair, the meeting was conducted by Bangabandhu Parishad General Secretary Professor ABM Faroque on Tuesday, a press release said today.

Bangabandhu Parishad's Joint General Secretaries Dr Sheikh Abdullah Al Mamun, Kazi Rehan Sobhan, Professor Dr Feroz Ahmed and Abdul Mateen Bhuiyan, Organizing Secretaries Dr Liaquat Hossain (heroic freedom fighter), Abdus Salam, Dr Mahbubur Rahman, S M Lutfar Rahman, Engineer Mainul Islam and Professor Dr Mashiur Rahman, International Secretary Dr Khaled Shawkat Ali, Office Secretary Abdus Sattar(heroic freedom fighter), Finance Secretary Jalal Uddin Tuhin, Environment and Forests Secretary Nechar Ahmed Bhuiyan, Relief and Welfare Secretary Dr Shakhawat Islam Bhuiyan, Co-office Secretary Dr Shankar Talukder and Science and Technology Editor Engineer Kabir Uddin also spoke on the occasion, the release added.

Speaking on the occasion, the speakers lauded the efficient and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for maintaining the development spree in the country.

In particular, the G-20 conference and the French President's visit to Bangladesh are shining examples of Bangladesh's diplomatic successes, they mentioned.

It was decided in the meeting that an organizational sub-committee to be formed aimed at highlighting the success of the current government prior to the upcoming national elections.

Besides, the committee members decided to form a central electoral cell comprising national leaders aiming to raise public opinion by highlighting the massive success of the development of the current government in each district/upazila.

In another proposal, the current acting president of the Bangabandhu Parishad AAMS Arefin Siddique has been entrusted with the responsibility of president of the organization.
