BTV handovers land to FDC for its Chattogram unit

  DHAKA, Sept 1, 2021 (BSS) - The authority of Bangladesh Television
(BTV) today handed over one acres of land to Bangladesh Film
Development Corporation (BFDC) to set up its Chattogram unit.

  BTV director general Soharab Hossain and BFDC director general
Nuzhat Yeasmin signed the documents on behalf of their respective
organizations at the meeting room of the Ministry of Information and
Broadcasting at Secretariat in the city.

  Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, State
Minister  Dr Murad Hasan and Secretary Md Mokbul Hossain were present
in the function.

   Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary, extended thanks
to the BTV authority to hand over one acres of land to BFDC from its
(BTV) 10 acres of land at Chattogram.

  He said an establishment of FDC in Chattogram, the country's second
largest city, is a source of joy and excitement for the people of the
entire southern region.

   The minister put emphasis on protecting the environment and nature
while establishing shooting spots and other establishments for films.
