GOPALGANJ, Sep 29, 2023 (BSS) - The 77th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been observed in the district with enthusiasm.

To mark the day, a colorful procession was brought out from Awami League office that paraded different streets in the district town this morning. A discussion was also held at AL office with Awami League President Mahabub Ali Khan in the chair.

Leaders and activists of Jubo League, Secha Sebok League, Chhatra League and Mohila Awami League took part in the discussion. A cake-cutting ceremony was also held at district AL office.

Besides, Tungipara Upazila Awami League placed a wreath at the mausoleum of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion.

Tungipara Upazila Awami League also offered Fateha and took part in a munajat seeking blessings for the departed souls of Bangabandhu and his family members.

Md Shahid Ullah Khandker, representative of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to oversee development works in her constituency, was present, among others.

The 77th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who brought Bangladesh to a new height, was also observed in Kotalipara, Kashiani and Muksudpur upazilas of the district today.
