DHAKA, Oct 9, 2023 (BSS) - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of former lawmaker, former president of the Noakhali district unit of Awami League (AL) and valiant Freedom Fighter Mahmudur Rahman Belayet.

In a message of condolence, Sheikh Hasina, also President of the Awami League (AL) said, "The party has lost a dedicated activist at the demise of Mahmudur Rahman Belayet."

She prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
