DHAKA, Oct 10, 2023(BSS) - The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court today denied bail to two life-term convicts in a case of crimes against humanity committed during 1971.

An Appellate Division bench led by Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan passed the order today.

On February 20, the International Crimes Tribunal sentenced war criminals Dr. Khandkar Golam Sabbir Ahmad and Abdus Sattar of Trishal Upazila of Mymensingh to life term imprisonment.

The defendants appealed against the verdict and pleaded for bail.
