Passing out parade held at Bangladesh Police Academy

RAJSHAHI, Oct 12, 2023 (BSS) - The passing out parade of the 39th outside
cadet sub-inspectors-2021 batch was held at Bangladesh Police Academy (BPA)
parade ground in Sarda here today.
 
Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun
attended the ceremony as the chief guest calling upon the newly recruited
police sub-inspectors to serve the people and said they must be pro-people.
 
He also urged them to dedicate themselves to stamp out criminals including
militants and terrorists for ensuring peace and security of the common
people.
 
Giving various service-oriented directives, IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun
said newly recruited police officials will have to come forward with all
their efforts to maintain law and order in the country at any cost fulfilling
the hopes and aspirations of the general people.
 
Police must come forward first to ensure rule of law, he added.
 
Chowdhury Mamun also urged them to discharge their duties with utmost
sincerity and honesty.

Police have to play a vital role towards implementation of 'Vision-2041"
along with building Smart Bangladesh envisioned by Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina.
 
Earlier, the chief guest accompanied by BPA Principal Mir Rezaul Alam
reviewed the smartly turned out parade and was saluted by the impressive
march past.
 
The IGP also distributed awards among five new entry police sub-inspectors
for their outstanding performances during the foundation training course.
 
Of them, Cadet Sanjoy Kumar Kundu has been adjudged as the all-rounder among
males. Besides, Cadet Taabassum Akter has been adjudged as the best academic
in the training. The other award-winning cadets are Rabeya Basri Akhi (best
in Field Executive), Turna Muhammad Muhtasin (Best in Shooter) and Muhammad
Toufiquzzaman (Best Swimmer).
 
Some 761 cadets including 51 females took part in the passing out parade
after their successful completion of one-year foundation training at the
academy.
 Deputy Inspector General of Police of Rajshahi Range Anisur Rahman,
Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Biplob Bijoy Talukder and many
other high police officials were present at the ceremony.
