DHAKA, Oct 17, 2023 (BSS) - Bangladesh Awami League (AL) and its different
associate bodies have chalked out elaborate programmes in observance of the
birthday of Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, tomorrow.

As part of the programmes, AL will place wreaths at the graves of Sheikh
Russel and other family members of Bangabandhu who embraced martyrdom on the
fateful night of August 15, 1975 at Banani graveyard at 8.30am tomorrow, said
a press release.

On the occasion, AL leaders and workers will offer fateha and join milad and
doa mahfil.

Party's Dhaka north and south units, associate bodies and different socio-
cultural organisations have also taken separate programmes to observe the
Sheikh Russel Day.

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister
Obaidul Quader, in a statement, has urged party leaders, activists and people
of all walks of live across the country to join the party programmes marking
the Sheikh Russel Day.
