GAIBANDHA, Oct 19, 2023 (BSS)- Chairman of Jatiya Party Ghulam Muhammad (GM) Quader today said that his party will field candidates in 300 seats in the upcoming general elections.

"Jatiya Party will field candidates in 300 seats in the upcoming general elections. They will not join hands with anyone. The party has already taken preparations for the elections alone," he said.

He made the comments in reply to the query of journalists at the Circuit House in the town this afternoon before participating in the Gaibandha district Jatiya Party's bi-annual convention at Islamia High School ground here as the chief guest.

JaPa district unit arranged the conference that was formally inaugurated by its presidium member and also mayor of Rangpur Municipality Md. Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa with president of JaPa district unit Abdur Rashid Sarker in the chair.

The conference was addressed, among others, by co-chairmen of the party Anisul Islam Mahmud, MP and Kazi Firoz Rashid, MP, presidium members Barrister Shameem Haider Patwari, MP, Jahirul Islam and Rana Md. Sohel, MP, and member secretary of district unit Sarwar Hossain Shaheen.
